Childcare Assistant

Seeking multiple employees with various specializations, hours and responsibilities.

• Attends to children ages 2 years old to 5th grade at our childcare institution (will be specialized into working with pre‑school, K‑5th or 6th‑8th grade students).
• Drives 14 passenger van to pick up/drop off school aged children is a huge plus.
• 18 years and over.

• Creates developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Reads to children and teaches them painting, drawing, crafts and songs.
• Maintains a safe play environment.
• Observes and monitors children’s play activities.
• Disciplines children and recommends or initiates other measures to control behavior, such as caring for own clothing, and picking up toys and books.
• Communicates with children’s parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
• Sanitizes toys and play equipment.
• Performs general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and making phone calls.
• Organizes and participates in recreational activities and outings, such as field trips.
• Helps children with school work.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  Some previous work‑related skill, knowledge, or experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Instructing.
• Monitoring.
• Service orientation.
• Drivers License.
