In this role, you will have strategic ownership over the supplier relationship and supplier performance. You will run RFQ and bidding processes in supplier interface, select the suppliers and manage price and agreement negotiations with suppliers within the material or service category. You will also lead other complex negotiations with the suppliers.

You are also responsible for the creation and implementation of the category‑specific strategies and action plans to ensure supply capability, right cost, supply quality and delivery accuracy. You will scout the supplier market for new potential suppliers in collaboration with the supply development team. You will ensure that the selected suppliers meet the commercial, technical, quality, sustainability and other requirements set for the purchased goods or services as well as the requirements coming from legislation.

Work Model For

The Role Is Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Strategic ownership over the material or service category.
  • Strategic ownership over supplier relationships and supplier performance.
  • Running RFQ and bidding processes in supplier interface and selecting suppliers based on predefined criteria.
  • Managing price and agreement negotiations with the selected suppliers within the material or service category.
  • Leading other complex negotiations with the suppliers (e.g. quality related negotiations).
  • Creating and implementing category‑specific strategies and action plans to ensure supply capability, right cost, supply quality and delivery accuracy.
  • Scouting the supplier market for new potential suppliers in collaboration with the supply development team.
  • Ensuring that selected suppliers meet the commercial, technical, quality, sustainability and other requirements set for the purchased goods or services.
  • Assessing supplier performance and managing the supplier relationship.
  • Securing that the suppliers meet requirements coming from legislation.
Qualifications For

The Role
  • M.Sc in business administration, industrial engineering or other relevant area.
  • 2-5 years’ experience from working in sourcing or supply chain management in an international company.
  • Strong financial skills to enable understanding of the effect of commercial decisions made in the role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and capability to draft agreements and agreement clauses from a commercial point of view.
  • Good understanding of the commercial laws, agreement laws and Incoterms.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capability to manage several stakeholders and suppliers simultaneously.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Fluency in English.
Valued But Not Required
  • Experience leading complex negotiations with suppliers.
  • Experience from successful creation and execution of sourcing strategy.
  • Experience from production transfer projects.
  • Experience evaluating, auditing and developing suppliers.
  • Technical know-how in one or more of the following areas: castings, machinings, forgings, weldings, electrical components and products, automation systems.
