Position: Sales Director (Defense)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Lead and execute sales strategies within the Defense vertical to drive growth
  • Collaborate with regional and national teams, including AAM Regional Sales Directors
  • Manage performance and development of the sales team, including hiring and training
  • Maintain C-level relationships at key accounts and serve as the escalation point for sales issues
  • Conduct annual reviews of account segmentation and deploy sales resources effectively
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • BS in Industrial Technology/Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in vertical sales, preferably in the Power Transmission industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 40%
  • Strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of industry and channel dynamics

  • Experience in coaching and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with KPI usage for coaching sales associates
