Sr. Director Business Development Mission Software Solutions

ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive, principally supporting the Mission Software Solutions business within the Defense & Intel Business. Defense and Intel represent the largest business within ASRC Federal. The capabilities of the Mission Software Solutions (MSS) operating group include naval weapon system software development, upgrade and integration . Candidates must have proven and extensive experience developing and managing a multi-year pipeline of related opportunities in various stages of the acquisition timeline.

This position will report to the Vice President of Business Development within Defense & Intelligence Operating Group and lead the business development efforts for across a large Portfolio of weapon systems platforms and software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working for winning new business and also of working all phases of captures life cycle. Have a proven record of successful shaping of technical and service-based opportunities along with implementing and executing unique approaches to identifying new opportunities that lead directly to business growth in profession services operating group, and other capabilities in the defense & intelligence market.

The position can be remote but prefer candidates with proximity to D.C. area. Frequent travel will be required to client sites, the Reston, VA HQ Office and other ASRC Federal locations to conduct key in-person business development activities.

Performance Profile/Position

Description:

Our Business Development Executive will work as an integral part of the Mission System Solutions Operating Group. Candidates will report into the Business Development Vice President of Defense & Intelligence and will work very closely with the Mission Software Solutions (MSS) operating group to create and execute overall strategy to maximize new business revenue, and profit for the company. The BD Executive will lead specific actions to target growth;

identify, shape and solution the company’s early response to opportunities; develop, lead and execute customer and industry call plans; lead business development/capture through the Pursuit Phase; recommend teaming through detailed gap analysis; assist with proposal development/review; recommend action plans as a key member of the overall Capture Team; and coordinate messaging and engagements. Candidates must demonstrate a successful record of business development, customer relationships, industry engagement, strategy development, strategic teaming, competitive intelligence, compelling approaches to solutioning and value proposition, and working in a collaborative and diverse environment.

Other responsibilities include development and implementation of the win strategy, working collaboratively with other internal leaders and functional teams to develop and mature opportunities in our Mission Software Solutions (MSS) operating group.

Key Responsibilities:

The Business Development Executive’s primary responsibility is to successfully lead and own applicable steps in the business development lifecycleto get out in front of emerging opportunities by engaging customers, key stakeholders to incrementally improve win probability and position the organization to craft a compelling technical and pricing solution while identifying and managing risk. The ideal candidate must have proven experience growing portfolios, managing pipelines and delivering results

This position requires a unique blend of business development, capture management, proposal expertise, and critical thinking skills.
