The primary purpose of the Executive Assistant is to manage the Chancellor’s calendar and coordinate assigned special events. The role of this position is further defined and impacted by the mutual working relationship established by the Chancellor.
Responsibilities• Manage the Chancellor’s calendar and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate special events and meetings.
• Serve as initial contact for university administrators, faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
• Provide administrative support to the Chancellor for daily operations of the university.
- High school diploma or equivalent and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or associate’s degree in Secretarial Science, Business Administration, or related discipline and one year of experience; or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline (preferred).
- All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least five years of progressively responsible experience supporting administrators in higher education.
- At least two years experience supporting a Chief Executive Officer, President, or Chancellor, preferably in a public university setting.
Position is on site. Employees are primarily in the office and/or have a critical job requirement that requires dedicated office space on site.
