General Statement of DutiesPosition requires basic keyboard skills and familiarity with office procedures and strong technical abilities.
This is a Temporary position. No more than 29 hours per week. No benefits. Hours per day will be assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Duties- Serves as backup support for new hire orientations when needed.
- Serves as the backup to the HR Assistant in entering temporary assignments for the school division into the system.
- Serves as a backup to assist with employee accounts in Oracle (EDA system).
- Works with the HR Specialist to prepare and send letters to substitutes who are excluded from schools, using a provided template and information submitted by the schools.
- Assists with distributing offer letters to hired Summer Academy staff and responds to general inquiries related to the program.
- Monitors and responds to the shared Temp 2 mailbox to ensure timely processing of temporary employees.
- Greets callers and visitors, provides information or directs them to the appropriate resource, and responds to general questions.
- Works cooperatively with team members to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintains regular attendance and remains actively engaged in assigned tasks.
- Listens attentively, understands needs, and effectively communicates solutions to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Independently handles recurring and routine issues, escalating more complex concerns to a supervisor as appropriate.
- Performs additional responsibilities assigned to support department and organizational goals.
Must have excellent computer skills in Windows platforms. Must have experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Knowledge of data based programs such as Oracle, etc., is preferred. Graduation from high school and two years of related clerical experience. Good organizational skills. Considerable knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment; skill in keyboarding, data entry, speed and accuracy; ability to follow directions, read and organize information;
tact; courtesy; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
$17.11 per hour
No more than 29 hours per week
