Job Summary
Accomack County is currently seeking a full‑time Real Estate Records Coordinator in the Real Estate Assessment Department. The purpose of the position is to read and interpret all documents recorded in the Clerk’s office that will change the ownership of real property assessment. The role maintains all transfer and ownership information in the Proval Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal System, inputs data, updates computer and land cards, verifies accuracy, maintains lists, reports, records, and communicates issues.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret all documents recorded in the Clerk’s office affecting property ownership and assessment.
- Maintain all transfer and ownership information in the Proval CAMS system.
- Input and update data on computer and land cards.
- Verify accuracy of data entered.
- Maintain a variety of lists, reports, and records.
- Communicate issues related to data and records.
- High school diploma or GED; supplemented by vocational/technical training in real estate, paralegal, and business.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of previous experience or training that includes real estate, market analysis, or real estate law, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Successful completion of a background check, medical exam including drug screening, and DMV records check (annual thereafter).
