Administrative Clerk
Location:
Halifax, NS B3H 4M2.
Employment Type:
Full time, temporary assignment, contract, day shift.
Hours:
32.5 per week. Salary: $19.00 per hour (CAD).
- Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents.
- Receive and forward telephone or electronic enquiries.
- Sort, process and verify applications, receipts and other documents.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail manually or electronically.
- Send and receive messages.
- Compile data, statistics and other information.
- Provide general information to clients and the public.
- Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing.
- Perform data entry.
Education: College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year in Administrative assistant or secretarial science, general.
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in a similar administrative role.
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
Personal suitability: Efficiency, hardworking, positive attitude, excellent oral and written communication.
Security and safety: Bondable.
Transportation/travel: Public transportation available.
Work conditions: Fast‑paced environment with attention to detail.
