, a growing East Coast heavy truck dealership, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Roanoke, VA team. This is a critical role responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties primarily supporting the Accounts Payable process.
If you have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 years relevant experience

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, and financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
- Support the strategic financial goals and initiatives of the operational departments of the company.
- Responsible for general ledger.
- Fixed asset processing and reporting.
- Maintain bank accounts by requesting disbursements.
- Monitor reserve accounts and short-term fund investments.
- Review bank statements.
- Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
- Audit and verify documents.
- Follow internal controls.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial records and forecast anticipated results.
- Financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis.
