Who This Role Is For This is for someone who actually knows a sign shop. You’ve run printers, dealt with installs, solved bad files, and kept jobs moving without drama. You don’t need babysitting and you don’t want chaos.
We are rebuilding our production department and need a steady hand who values quality, clear communication, and accountability.

• Managing daily production flow (printing, finishing, installs)
• Scheduling jobs realistically and communicating delays early
• Overseeing large-format printers, laminators, cutters, and finishing
• Quality control before anything leaves the shop
• Trouble shooting best solutions to facilitate quotation process
• Coordinating installs and prepping crews
• Working with sales and design to catch problems early
• Training and guiding production staff
• Maintaining a clean, safe, organized shop

• Sales quotas
• Customer hand-holding
• Design creation (you flag issues, you don’t fix bad design alone)
• HR discipline without management backing
• Doing everything yourself

You will have authority and support. Problems escape upward, not sideways.

• 5+ years in print/signage production (sign shop experience required)
• Hands‑on knowledge of large format printers and substrates
• Strong install knowledge (vinyl, panels, wraps, dimensional signs)
• Calm under pressure
• Comfortable leading people without ego
• Organized and communicative
