VMG is seeking a Production Supervisor to support daily operations in our Sheet Metal Fabrication Shop in Berryville, VA. This role is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising shop personnel, coordinating daily workloads, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring fabrication schedules align with project and field needs.
The Production Supervisor works closely with the Production Manager, Project Managers, and Field Teams to keep shop operations running efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily production activities within the sheet metal shop
- Lead, assign, and prioritize work for shop personnel and fabricators
- Ensure fabrication meets drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Coordinate with project and field teams to meet delivery timelines
- Monitor productivity, workflow, and material usage
- Enforce safety policies, housekeeping standards, and company procedures
- Support training and mentoring of shop employees
- Assist with equipment oversight and basic maintenance coordination
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement
- 3+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or shop supervision (commercial HVAC preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and shop operations
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and construction documents
- Proven ability to lead crews in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- OSHA knowledge preferred
