Position Details
Job Title: Materials Handler (Heavy) I
Location: Altavista, VA 24517
Duration: 10 Months of Contract + possible extension
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Job DescriptionLoads, unloads, and moves materials (crates, boxes and raw materials) within or near plant, yard or work site. Reads and follows work orders and/or oral instructions; uses hand tools to open containers. Transports materials using handtruck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow or other devices.
Additional Experience Required- Data entry using ORACLE (ADMS).
- Measure and weigh materials using weighing scale and ruler or similar devices.
- Computer Skills.
- Experience with shipping (UPS/Fed Ex) and receiving (preferred).
- Will be required to operate an electric or battery-operated Forklift and/or other heavy machinery equipment.
- High School graduate or equivalent. 0-2 Years experience
