Trinity Rail is hiring a Foreman, Mobile Repair at our Keysville, IA Mobile Site

The Foreman, Mobile Repair position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn’t stray away from a challenge.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for overseeing of production, employees and employee engagement.
  • Monitor and adapt processes and scheduling to accomplish manufacturing goals
  • Determine causes of operating problems, consult schematics and order or fabricate replacement parts
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications. Tests and troubleshoots product operation and makes adjustments.
  • Plan activities for multiple customer locations, guide crews on materials needed and proper repairs that meet AAR/FRA requirements
  • Coordinate incoming inventory and material usage
  • Prepare billing repair cards for collection of repair costs
  • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of hourly employees
  • Lead employees in various functions including parts and component management, safety, quality assurance, etc.
  • May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
  • Works closely with all support departments to accomplish all goals/assignments
  • Familiar with RX and TAS
  • Ability/Willingness to learn all aspects of Mobile Repair, Coatings, Cleaning, Valves, Brakes, etc.
Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability/Willingness to perform all levels of work of area of responsibility as needed
  • Ability to travel and work in required location
  • Welding experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of tank car manufacturing/repair lead/supervision
  • Knowledge of AAR and FRA Rules and Regulations
  • Ability to communicate efficiently
  • Ability to use all types of hand tools
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
