Manufacturing Operator – 3rd Shift – Altavista, VA Plant

Abbott Nutrition, a division of Abbott, is hiring a Manufacturing Operator for the 3rd Shift at our Altavista, VA plant.

We look for individuals who can safely operate high‑speed production equipment, maintain inventory, complete work orders, perform quality checks, keep the production environment clean, and troubleshoot equipment issues. You will be accountable for meeting FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies.

• Safely operate complex and standard high‑speed production equipment that makes industry‑leading nutrition products.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials.
• Complete work‑order documentation.
• Perform quality checks.
• Clean equipment and the production environment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, analytical troubleshooting, and multitasking ability.

• Knowledge of regulatory standards for infant formula and nutritionals.
• Experience with tools and equipment related to this position or a senior production equipment operator role.

The base pay for this position is $19.05 – $38.15 per hour. Pay may vary by location.
