Operating machine that applies hardening alloy to metal parts.

• Coat metal products with a hardening alloy according to customer or employer specifications.
• Communication skills are essential to work with team members.
• Possess ability to setup, operate and repair equipment.
• Must have good computer skills and ability to read engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Possess ability to multitask.
• Ability to use machinery to bevel or chamfer metal parts before coating and use of grinding tools.
• Ability to operate welding equipment used in the application of the hardening alloy.
• Ability to lift heavy items of up to around 70 pounds.
• Provide a great level of attention to detail, focus on the given task and strong attention to quality standards.
• Candidate must have reliable attendance.

The incumbent considers all interests of quality, accident prevention and occupational safety as well as environmental safety in a preventive manner within his/her scope of responsibility and supports the avoidance of damages to people, facilities, assets, material and environment actively.

• Work in this position is both in an office and a factory floor environment, either locally and at a customer site. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.
• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.
• The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus).

• Completion of welding or other transferable skill program (Technical Education).

• Reading blueprints.

• Welding skills and understanding of metal processes.
