Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Project Director is responsible for the successful planning and execution of complex projects, including achieving our operational goals for key performance indicators (KPIs) of Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities- Develop an appropriate organization that can execute major projects and work for the foreseeable future.
- Have the critical capability to develop, connect, and create relationships with clients that are productive and partnered.
- Collaborate with clients and create productive relationships between owners and contractors.
- Serve as the key client relationship, building effective relationships that enable optimal project execution.
- Manage the strategic vision and develop a real competitive advantage in the nuclear industry.
- Understand the balance between schedule, cost, and safety, and create effective outcomes for clients.
- Create a single QA/QC program that enhances project execution and efficiency.
- Hold a full and exhaustive understanding of the contract.
- Develop the appropriate flows of information and communication with key stakeholders and the owner.
- Contribute critically and be integrated into strategy and planning processes.
- BSc in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 20+ years of experience managing major refurbishment or large‑scale nuclear projects is preferred.
- EPC experience.
- New‑build experience.
- Technical knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and terminology.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Significant experience and understanding of the nuclear industry and its requirements for both owners and contractors.
- Knowledge of and existing relationships within the nuclear sector.
- Knowledge of INPO practices and principles and application of the same.
- Full appreciation of the importance of quality assurance programs in the nuclear industry.
- Experience in a key role in utility nuclear leadership is valued.
- Experience as a nuclear operator is important for project execution across various phases.
- High level of executive management exposure, having built, managed, and sustained a high‑performing business to deliver profitable growth.
