We are currently seeking dependable and detail-oriented Janitors to support a government contract at the United States Coast Guard Training Center located in Yorktown, VA at Lafayette Hall and Cain Hall. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for U.S. Coast Guard students, service members, staff, and authorized patrons. Your work directly supports the readiness and well-being of those who serve.

Janitors are responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitization of assigned facilities across the Training Center campus. This includes halls, restrooms, office spaces, berthing rooms, recreation rooms, lounges, vending rooms, laundry rooms, common areas, work areas, locker rooms, entrance ways, lobbies, storage areas, elevators, and stairways.

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of buildings and facilities
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, shampoo, wax and maintain floors
• Clean restrooms, showers, and locker areas
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures
• Replenish restroom and facility supplies
• Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures
• Report maintenance or repair needs to supervisors

• Must be citizens of the United States of America (U.S.A.) or legal residents lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S.A.
• Must be able to speak and understand English with sufficient fluency to effectively perform assigned duties. Personnel must also be able to read, comprehend, and write in English as required for job responsibilities, including understanding instructions, completing documentation, and communicating with supervisors and team members.
• Experience in hotel hospitality is strongly preferred
