The firm seeks an experienced insurance defense attorney to join its Farmingdale, NY office in a 3‑in‑2‑off hybrid schedule with full autonomy, resolving high‑exposure coverage/bad‑faith/property cases early, expanding into construction/premises liability, and fast‑tracking to equity partner.

- Contribute Meaningfully from Day One: Own files for Fortune 500 carriers (Chubb, Travelers, GEICO), drive subrogation/recovery, and shape the NY office expansion.
- Draft coverage opinions, RORs, disclaimers, and CRN responses for CGL, property, and bad‑faith matters.
- Conduct early case evaluations, depositions, and dispositive motions under the Early Resolution Plan.
- Advise on reinsurance, construction defects, and premises liability claims.
- Collaborate on multi‑state teams for catastrophic losses and regulatory disputes.
- Support partners in client development and KPI reporting.
- Represent clients in federal/state courtrooms and arbitrations, including arguing motions, evidentiary hearings, and trials when cases proceed to verdict.
- 3–6 years insurance defense/coverage experience (carrier‑side strongly preferred).
- Proven early‑resolution track record with strong academics and NY bar.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset eager for autonomy, monthly BD training, and equity partnership.
