Role Overview
The Solution Sales Executive (SSE) is responsible for combining deep SAP expertise, business acumen, and end-to-end solution area domain knowledge to drive LoB cloud revenue, customer success and accelerate adoption of innovation (especially AI). This role shapes transformative solutions, guides customers through their value journey and positions SAP as a trusted partner in strategic transformation.

Qualifications for the position will require a minimum of 12 years of experience to include subject matter expertise with a proven track record of selling and value add positioning related to technology platforms solutions over the most recent 4 plus years. What You will Do
- Own the LoB strategy for assigned accounts, the end-to end relationship and develop multi-year strategic account plans with AI and innovation at the center.
- Drive the end‑to‑end customer value journey with domain expertise, applying deep technology platforms application expertise to map current-state processes, uncovering business challenges and shaping opportunities powered by SAP’s latest AI capabilities.
- Grow the pipeline by proactively identifying new strategic opportunities and expanding opportunities within existing accounts.
- Lead go-to-market efforts for new products and capabilities with particular focus on AI and other innovation initiatives that accelerate value.
- Drive compelling demos and enablement that show customers what is possible today — and what’s next
- Create clear and persuasive value narratives, including ROI cases, competitive differentiation, and executive storytelling
- Lead complex commercial discussions (including pricing, contract terms, and cloud revenue models), own deal cycles and renewals negotiations. By partnering with the Customer Success and adoption teams, drive usage and monitor cloud consumption metrics
- Build strong, trusted relationships with C‑suite decision‑makers and run Quarterly Business Reviews focused on adoption, innovation, risk mitigation, and opportunity identification
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, Advisory, and Customer Success to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Partner with leading consulting firms to co‑innovate and strengthen joint customer outcomes
- Maintain up-to-date technical and functional knowledge of SAP and adjacent solutions as well as market and competitor trends; use that insight to position differentiated solutions that address industry-specific challenges and win competitive deals.
What You Bring
- Quota carrying sales experience with a management consulting type profile with 10 years Industry or Practitioner experience driving software sales (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). Executive relationship building skills with proven C-suite influence.
- Deep domain expertise related to the Development Platform area, Integration, Middleware, RPA and a solid understanding of AI and innovation trends
. The Solution Sales will take care of SAP BTP cloud portfolio solutions (ex SAP Extension Build, SAP Integration, SAP BTP services for AI, SAP 3PS like Open Text, SAP Store). - Skilled in value-based conversations, ROI storytelling, and simplifying complex technology into actionable business impact
- Strong communication in articulating business value conversations, commercial drive, negotiation, and cross‑functional leadership skills
- Comfortable working in a matrix environment, driving alignment, and influence without direct authority
- Fluency in English and Italian is a must
