The Software Engineering Manager provides leadership in design, development, and deployment of Solar Digital's software solutions, systems and/or applications as well as supervising and coordinating multiple engineering teams.

• Provides leadership, and direction to teams to develop business and technical solutions
• Evaluate and acquires resources necessary to accomplish work on time
• Oversees team and individual performance, manages personnel issues, conducts evaluations, and fosters employee satisfaction
• Identifies and addresses staff training and development needs
• Coordinates walkthroughs and reviews; ensures conformance to standards and adherence to design specifications
• Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
• Monitors and troubleshoots performance and schedule issues
• Facilitates cross-functional collaboration by gathering and analyzing information on how software products and services interconnect with other systems and offerings across the organization
• Communicates the current status of software initiatives, outlines delivery options, and shares updates on upcoming product and service enhancements to ensure transparency and alignment
• Leads software development using modern tools and structured methodologies to deliver high-quality products aligned with strategy. Oversees product design and architecture, ensuring alignment with requirements, and drives quality assurance through effective testing practices
• Follows general policies and guidelines for projects under his/her control to ensure specific management goals are met, and desired results are achieved. Impacts key quality goals including customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and recurring revenue, timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, cost savings, process quality, etc.
• Supports IT Operations and ensures Information Security standards.
• Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Solar Digital management from time to time.

• Position requires a four-year degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, Technology Management)
• 10 years or more of software engineering experience and/or hands-on software development team management role
• 5 years or more of experience leading software development projects and managing cross-functional teams
• Strong technical skills in software development, architecture, and design.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Slovak language is a benefit.

• Experience in public cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• Demonstrated leadership on medium or larger projects impacting strategic priorities.
• Ability to cope with shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize, delegate responsibilities and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Passion for technology and innovation and building high performance teams.
• Extensive knowledge of department processes.
• Detail oriented mentality and excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
