Service Now Engineer – Platform Operations
Do you want to be the Service Now engineer within KPMG US's Digital Nexus technology organization? This is a hybrid work opportunity.
Responsibilities- Lead and execute support and enhancement requests across all Service Now products/modules, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes; diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve platform issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Design, configure, and develop solutions leveraging Service Now best practices to meet business needs and drive process improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the platform through proactive recommendations and implementation of new features.
- Develop and maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and configurations; ensuring compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and Service Now best practices.
- Contribute to all aspects of the Platform and Plugin/Store App upgrades; mentor junior team members and share expertise to cultivate platform knowledge across the operations team.
- Manage platform health, monitoring performance, and maintaining integration points.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and scrum team to gather requirements, refine user stories, and translate needs into actionable Service Now solutions.
- Minimum three years of recent practical experience developing and supporting Service Now in an enterprise environment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field is preferred; certifications in Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting and enhancing a range of Service Now products/modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, Sec Ops, IRM) with a strong understanding of Service Now architecture, data models, integrations, and scripting (JavaScript, Glide API).
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Minimum one Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in a major module (such as ITSM, HR, CSM, or Sec Ops) is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG does not sponsor work visas.
