The Employee Relations Specialist conducts impartial, confidential investigations into employee concerns, potential misconduct and Ethics Point cases. This role ensures compliance with company policies, labor laws, and collective agreements, and partners with HR and Legal to support fair and consistent disciplinary outcomes.

Where will you work:

Hybrid (on-site at Lithia, FL)

What will you do:
  • Conduct investigations into Ethics Point cases (or equivalent) related to harassment, discrimination, workplace violence, policy violations, etc. Ensuring investigations handled confidentially and comply with organizational practices, collective agreements, employment law.
  • Conduct confidential interviews with involved parties and collect relevant information.
  • Document investigation findings in a clear, objective, and legally sound manner mindful of different audiences.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Legal as needed to recommend appropriate discipline, corrective actions and performance management.
  • Triage cases and secure document/case management.
  • Track and report investigation metrics and trends.
What will you need:
  • High School/GED required. Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Law or Related preferred.
  • 3+ years of employee relations or employee investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and labor relations. Knowledge of policy adherence and labor laws.
  • Experience in unionized environments and interpreting CBAs preferred.
  • Excellent interviewing and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office.
