Pay Range – The Rose Gaming Resort is a $480 million gaming and entertainment complex located alongside I‑95 in Dumfries, Virginia. The resort features a luxury hotel, eight bars and restaurants, meeting and event spaces, 50,000 + sq ft gaming area, over 1,650 historical horse racing machines, and more than 80 acres of green space. It generates an estimated $35.5 million in annual tax revenues and employs over 500 team members.

Job Summary

The F&B Supervisor is responsible for the successful operation of restaurants and bar outlets, ensuring guests have a favorable experience, while complying with company policies and applicable regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coach the Food & Beverage team.
  • Delegate duties and assign responsibilities.
  • Enforce company service standards and coaching measures, focusing on training and development.
  • Ensure safety and security of employees and customers, reducing loss time injuries.
  • Maintain quality of food and beverages, taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assist with the recruitment process and manage performance reviews.
  • Support team development and participate in hiring, coaching, retention, and termination processes.
  • Review marketing/promotions and F&B activities with team members.
  • Oversee cleaning and side‑work standards and equipment maintenance.
  • Monitor staffing levels to meet budgeted employment.
  • Identify business needs and implement solutions.
  • Address customer complaints promptly, building strong guest relationships.
  • Help manage the Food & Beverage budget and uphold operating margins.
  • Collaborate with F&B leadership to develop and implement operating standards.
  • Deliver consistent, service‑oriented guest experiences.
  • Provide project leadership as assigned.
  • Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
  • Demonstrate #Add Life culture in all guest and coworker interactions.
  • Train and orient new employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Work hands‑on 90% of the time on the floor.
  • Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professional attitude.
  • Build interpersonal relationships with team and public.
  • Excel in verbal and written communication.
  • Assume overall responsibility for performance.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Leadership and communication proficiency.
  • Self‑motivated with analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of menu development, costing, labor management, food trends, and restaurant operations preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Micros, and Stratton Warren or comparable inventory systems.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and nights.
Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Virginia Racing Commission License
Serv‑Safe
