The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Skyland Lodge in Luray, Virginia. The role is primarily floor management, focused on delivering exceptional customer service in a high-volume environment. The Food and Beverage Manager will oversee the dining room as well as multiple food and beverage outlets. The ideal candidate will have experience with bar ordering and inventory management, staff scheduling, and leading a team in a fast-paced setting.

As a Food and Beverage Manager, you will bring seasoned hospitality expertise to a company that offers career growth and exciting opportunities. This is a seasonal position running from March through November.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $46,100 - $62,200 / year. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range.

What will you do?
  • Administration of all restaurant, kitchen, and bar related functions to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Hire, train, and manage an effective team, providing feedback on their job responsibilities and alignment to Delaware North programs
  • Research and develop new policies, procedures, menus, and control policies that elevate service standards and accountability of staff
  • Coordinate menus and alcohol compliance and quality standards, handle guest relations and monitor adherence to quality assurance standards
More About You
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a high volume restaurant and/or catering environment with supervising service personnel
  • Experience effectively leading a team required
  • Ability to communicate through oral and written skills with staff, creating a positive work environment
  • NO degree required
