Laundry Attendant

The Homestead, L.C. d/b/a The Omni Homestead Resort, headquartered at 7696 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, VA 24445, is seeking to fill fifteen (15) full‑time, peak‑load, temporary positions from March 11, 2026, to January 10, 2027.

Duties:

• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize resort linens according to type and handling instructions.
• Inspect linens for damage or stains and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Ensure proper use of detergents, chemicals, and other cleaning supplies.
• Track laundry loads to meet daily quotas.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and resort policies.
• Assist with the inventory of linens and laundry supplies.
• Support housekeeping staff as needed with linen delivery and collection.

Special Requirements:

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Good attention to detail, strong commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude.
• Basic English skills.
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation &

Schedule:

• Pay: $15.00 per hour; overtime: $22.50 per hour.
• Weekly hours: 35 hours.
• Shift: 8 hours per day, either 6 am–2:30 pm or 7 am–3:30 pm, Sunday to Saturday.
• Pay period: bi‑weekly.
• Deductions required by law will be made.

Housing & Transportation:

• Optional on‑site housing available at a $312.00 bi‑weekly deduction.
• Additional $250.00 security deposit, payable over five pay periods; $100.00 refundable upon meeting move‑out procedures.
• Dorm‑style housing: two associates per bedroom, shared bathroom for two bedrooms (four associates total). Shared kitchen and laundry facilities available.
• Transportation during employment provided or reimbursed by a company check if worker completes at least half of the employment period.
• Daily subsistence during travel: $16.28 per day up to $68.00 per day, with receipts.
• Full reimbursement for visa and related fees (excluding passport expenses or other primary worker benefit costs) upon first work week.
• Employer supplies tools, supplies, and equipment at no charge.
