Job Order In Connection With H-2B ApplicationThe Homestead, L.C. d/b/a The Omni Homestead Resort, headquartered at 7696 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, VA 24445; phone number: , is seeking to fill thirty-five (35) Guest Room Attendants positions from March 11, 2026, to January 10, 2027. This is for full-time, peak-load, temporary employment.
- As a Guest Room Attendant, the worker must thoroughly clean guest rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.
- They are also responsible for restocking and replacing used items within guest rooms.
- Communicating the clean status of each room upon completion is essential.
- The attendant must remove room service trays and tables, stock the supply cart to keep it neat and organized, and check all equipment before and after use to ensure it is in good working order.
- Responding efficiently and in a friendly manner to all hotel guests is required.
- Additionally, the attendant must ensure hotel lobbies are serviced throughout the week, floors in public areas and restrooms are cared for, and the Fitness Center, indoor and outdoor pool areas, and their restrooms are maintained.
- The outdoor pool and cabana areas should be cleaned, trash removed, and floors kept debris-free.
- All lobby corridors and staircases must be kept free of debris.
- Vacuuming and cleaning of all lobby lounges, guestrooms, and corridors are necessary.
- The worker must be flexible with shifts, including holidays and weekends, and keep the veranda clean and swept daily.
- After events, function rooms should be cleaned and set‑up furniture cleared.
- The attendant must be comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions when servicing the pool and cabana areas.
- Any other tasks assigned by management should also be completed.
Special Requirements: Three (3) months of previous housekeeping experience is preferred. The worker must possess strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. They should be willing and able to stand for up to 8 hours, as well as bend, stretch, reach, and push up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
Must have basic English skills.
The pay is $15.00 per hour with overtime available at $22.50 per hour. The work schedule is as follows: 35 hours per week, with Varied 7‑hour shifts from Sunday to Saturday; 10:30 am to 6:00 pm or 3:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Northwest Virginia nonmetropolitan area. Employer will not provide transportation to and from available optional housing to the Hotel, since housing is within walking distance of the resort.
Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is bi‑weekly. The employer will make all deductions required by law. The employer offers optional housing at a $312.00 bi‑weekly deduction. An additional $250.00 security deposit is required, paid over five pay periods. If move‑out procedures and housing regulations are followed, $100.00 of the deposit is refundable. Dorm‑style housing:
Each bedroom is shared by two associates, and the bathroom is shared between two bedrooms, accommodating four associates in total. Shared kitchen and laundry facilities are available.
Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.
