This position works under the supervision of the Supervisors, Manager and/or Director. It performs duties related to therapeutic diets and meal services, including proper portioning and delivery of food items to meet therapeutic nutritional guidelines, completion of production sheets, cafeteria service, and cleaning of its designated work station. The employee must demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to provide age‑appropriate meals and nourish according to departmental policy and procedure.
The role promotes and maintains a safe work environment for staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

- REQUIRED:
Previous food service experience, preferably in a healthcare facility. - PREFERRED:

High school diploma or GED preferred - PREFERRED:

- Physical lifting 50 – 100 lbs.
- Use of assistance devices as appropriate.
- Exposure to potentially hazardous and infectious substances.
- Activities:
Prolonged standing, frequent bending, walking (distance), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). - Repetitive motion.
- Mental and sensory: strong recall, reasoning, problem solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, logical thinking.
- Emotional: fast‑pace environment, able to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, able to adapt to frequent change.
