Occupational Therapist School in Colonial , VA

A skilled Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized services in a K-12 school setting located in Colonial Beach, VA. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and involves delivering occupational therapy support to students, fostering their developmental progress and helping them achieve educational goals.

• Conducting occupational therapy sessions focusing on enhancing students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop individualized treatment plans that support classroom success
• Documenting progress notes and maintaining compliance with educational and therapy regulations
• Providing therapy services during a half-day session once a week

• Licensure as an Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy services
• Knowledge and skills related to pediatric occupational therapy, particularly within school environments
• Familiarity with home health and healthcare occupational therapy practices is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively work with students, educators, and families
