The MCC Scheduling Operator II functions as a central point of coordination for a variety of requests across the Ballad system. This role schedules approximately 1,000 medical procedures, including ambulatory care, outpatient procedures, and inpatient/outpatient cardiovascular services. It also schedules educational events for staff and community members through the "The Professionals" Centramax software.

• Provide professional telephone answering and computer interactive scheduling services.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patients and staff.
• Use copiers, faxes, and printers as needed.
• Prepare and send information to both professional and non‑professional consumers daily.
• Adapt to various situations as prescribed by physicians or management.
• Handle requests for patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric ages.
• Ensure accurate data entry to prevent duplicate Medical Record numbers.

• Full working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum of two years experience in a medical call center dealing with diagnostic test scheduling and a thorough knowledge of preps required for testing.
• Minimum of five years of related medical experience.
• Proficient typing and desktop computer skills. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
• Capable of handling a highly visible job that deals with physicians, office staff, hospital staff, and patients.
