State/Local Public Assistance Program Experts About SRP Partners

Job DescriptionPrecise job duties will vary based on the candidate's background, previous experience, education, and unique qualifications. You will support the State and local governments with the implementation of FEMA programs.
Responsibilities- As the PA Program, work closely with representatives of State and/or local governments to generate in-depth damage descriptions, scopes of work (SOW), and detailed cost estimates for the repair, restoration, and/or replacement of damaged infrastructure and facilities
- Perform visual inspections of sites to assess disaster-related damage
- Compile cost-related information
- Provide technical guidance and support, as necessary
- Compile supporting documentation and update information in FEMA's Grants Portal system
- Generate accurate reports and provide detailed analyses

Basic Qualifications- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily MS Excel and MS Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute as a team member
- Capability to mobilize quickly (within 24-48 hours) and commit to a 6-month assignment in potentially remote and/or disaster-impacted locations
- Desire to assist citizens affected by natural or man-made disasters with compassion and dedication to achieving efficient and cost-effective recovery
- Ability to field inquiries from the general public and professionally interact with a wide variety of stakeholders, including State/local representatives, grant recipients, and FEMA employees
