Tax Manager

I am working on a mostly fully remote role with a technology-driven firm (this is not a CPA firm and they offer a great work life balance), that provides comprehensive financial solutions to their clients with a strong emphasis on innovation and efficiency. This is a newly created role, with the hopes to build the tax department around this Manager, so there is definite opportunity for growth.

They have a wonderful culture, and the role is mostly fully remote.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters, maintaining consistent communication through email, virtual meetings, and phone calls.
• Prepare and review a variety of tax filings, including business returns (Forms 1120S and 1065) and individual returns (Form 1040) for clients and their stakeholders.
• Proactively identify tax planning strategies and provide actionable recommendations to enhance client outcomes.
• Oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while upholding high standards of accuracy and quality.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams across accounting, audit, and advisory functions to deliver comprehensive client service.
• Utilize firm technology tools effectively and stay adaptable to new systems and innovations as they are introduced.

Qualifications:

• CPA required
• 5-10 years of tax experience with a focus on business and individual tax
