We are The Fountain Group, a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a prominent client of ours. This position is based in West Point, VA
. Details for the position are as follows:
Pay: $35–$45 per hour (starting rate)
Assignment Length: 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion based on performance and budget
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Work Location: Onsite in West Point, VA
Responsibilities- Lead monthly financial close activities, including journal entries, account and balance sheet reconciliations, cost and variance analysis, and mill and corporate financial reporting.
- Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and accounts payable processes while collaborating with Division, Corporate, and Tax teams to identify and track cost improvement opportunities.
- Provide analytical and audit support through ad hoc reporting, project analysis, and coordination with internal and external auditors to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required)
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel (required)
- Experience with financial analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes (required)
- Experience with JD Edwards and/or Hyperion (preferred)
- Manufacturing Experience (preferred)
