Overview

The commercial documentation associate will have minimal external customer contact, a focus on routine tasks, and have a mild progression in overall departmental responsibilities. Job functions will have moderate regulatory and reputational risk. This position includes duties such as disbursement of funds, reviewing loan documents, and resolving post‑closing issues.

Functional Area

Responsibilities

Post‑Closing (60%):

  • Reviews signed loan documents for proper signatures and dates (in‑house and attorney closed loans)
  • Disburses funds to attorney or title agent via wire transfer or account deposit
  • Completes and processes any necessary transaction tickets related to closings/fundings
  • Notifies processor and confirms disbursement
  • Communicates with Attorneys, Appraisal, and Title Company as needed to resolve post‑closing issues
  • Barcodes and prepares packages for booking
  • Submits loans to boarding in nCino
  • UCC Filings and amendments
  • Images Docu Sign packages to Director
  • Images other docs to Director prior to sending to booking
  • Marks documents as Approved in nCino in order for them to move to Director
Administrative and Other Duties (40%)
  • Port Setup
  • Line Setup
  • Answering incoming calls and assisting internal customers as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of all commercial loans and their status
  • Other special duties
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A combination of education, training, and work experience is considered. A High School diploma or GED is required. Two years of banking experience preferred. Past experience regarding documentation may expand the responsibilities of the role. The individual must be able to demonstrate an increased level of proficiency in various Bank systems based on role/responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Demonstrated PC skills are required; a level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and navigating the internet is necessary to be successful in this role. Experience with typical office equipment is necessary. Ability to balance meeting daily objectives while promptly responding to telephone and email inquiries.

Demands

Employee may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: view computer monitors, keyboarding, sitting, motion of fingers/hands/wrists, and standing/walking; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an operational office environment.
