They serve customers for health, well‑being, and beauty of all. The Seppic Manufacturing site, opened in 2020, is near Richmond, VA, producing ingredients for cosmetic and pharmaceutical products with high quality and minimal environmental impact.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily troubleshooting support and resolve technical issues to ensure efficient production.
  • Optimize batch processes to improve yield, reduce cycle times, and cut costs.
  • Conduct root‑cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and workshops.
  • Reconcile raw material usage and maintain accurate batch records.
  • Deliver training to operators and supervisors on updated processes.
  • Validate processes and equipment to ensure compliance and reliability.
  • Monitor KPIs and control charts to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Plan and support shutdowns and turnaround activities.
  • Apply OSHA PSM guidelines and ensure safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for maintenance operations.
  • Assist Manufacturing Manager with planning, workflow, capital investment projects, and process analyses.
  • Participate in HAZOP studies and process safety studies.
  • Validate process and equipment changes in collaboration with Senior Process Development Engineers.
  • Contribute to Seppic’s C02 carbon footprint calculations and propose reduction ideas.
  • Build utility maps and propose modifications to reduce waste and utility consumption.
  • Improve process capability and reliability, propose investments, and reduce human resource requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (master’s preferred); knowledge of equipment sizing, automation, and chemistry.
  • Experience with Six Sigma Lean tools (C‑imp).
  • Strong teaching and training skills for operators, supervisors, and engineers.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams on various projects.
  • Experience in an international environment is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
