Civil/Mechanical Project Management Engineer I-V
Join Fed Ex Ground as a Civil/Mechanical Project Management Engineer I-V. The role focuses on engineering design, programming, and project management for sortation and material handling systems.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze performance data and apply engineering tools to identify improvement opportunities.
- Research, analyze, and consolidate technical information for management review.
- Prepare accurate expenditure proposals and cost justification analysis.
- Develop progress reports, meeting minutes, and field communication memos.
- Apply project management fundamentals and concepts to support project execution.
- Participate in Control Self Monitoring (CSM) and Business Control Self-Assessment (BCSA).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical or quantitative degree (e.g., mathematics) required.
Preferred Education (By Discipline)- Automation & Systems – Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Facilities & Material Handling Engineering – Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or related field.
- Facilities & Material Handling Project Management – Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Industrial Engineer & Process – Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
- Operations Research, Planning & Analysis – Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Facilities & Material Handling Procurement Engineering – Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Operations Technology Security Engineering – Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or IT Security related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Software skills – Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
- Verbal and written communication across all levels of management.
- Presentation skills for training and informational sessions.
- Time management, organization, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.
Some travel required.
Preferred QualificationsOwner’s representative for large Cap Ex projects, managing construction of distribution centers and conveyor systems from planning through handover, coordinating with planning, design, procurement, real estate, IT, finance, and legal teams, overseeing integrators, developers, GCs, A/E firms, reviewing drawings and specs, conducting site visits, monitoring schedule and cost, managing commissioning, and supporting startup.
SalaryPay: $4,324.00/mo – $11,309.65/mo
LocationThis position must be domiciled in Pittsburgh, PA.
