Regional Engineer

Overview

Base pay range
: $86,000.00/yr - $/yr

Job Type: Full-time

• Be Lane’s technical expert on Lane products to gain acceptance and approval.
• Work with engineers, agencies, and the sales team to promote Lane’s products and expand usage criteria.
• Instruct contractors on proper installation methods and corrective measures for faulty installations.
• Identify new business opportunities and applications for Lane’s current products.
• Evaluate potential new products for compatibility with Lane’s capabilities.
• Lead the process for approvals and submissions of alternatives for project applications with engineering design firms.
• Participate in planning and presenting at sales meetings.
• Identify and support development of brochures and materials that promote Lane products or applications.
• Assist in identifying potential new sales representatives and regional engineers.
• Provide technical assistance within the company as directed.

This is a hybrid position - part of the work can be completed remotely from home, while the other part involves travel throughout Virginia, Maryland and Northeast NC territories. A company vehicle will be provided, and travel expenses for food and lodging are covered.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• Previous civil engineering and stormwater experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) is a plus
• 3+ years’ experience in related field or sales

Skills & Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent sales and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient with MS Office Suite or related software
