Systems Planning Corporation (SPC), a subsidiary company of GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking qualified, motivated, and skilled Construction Inspectors / Coordinators to provide quality assurance oversight and work performance and compliance services on transmission line and/or substation construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern states. This is a contract position. We value work-life balance and offer flexibility - this position can be performed in a hybrid or fully remote capacity.

Construction Inspector / Coordinator will oversee the activities associated with transmission line and substation site preparation and access road construction. Duties include general oversight of contractors performing the work, stormwater management, along with documentation of permitting requirements. Duties may also involve the oversight of contractors during the rehabilitation of transmission line work.

• • Ability to hike moderated distances through unimproved terrain, utility rights-of-way, in remote areas, etc.
  • Fieldwork will be conducted in variable weather and environmental conditions, often requiring long or irregular hours.

  • A commitment to safely performing job duties in these conditions is required.
