Elementary Instructional Technology Resource Teacher
Reports to: Executive Director of Technology/ITRT Coordinator
FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARYTo support educators with purposefully integrating and effectively using technology in the classroom;
Provide training and personalized professional development opportunities to build capacity with technology tools and best practices.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate technology into instruction to enhance student achievement.
- Develop and deliver professional development opportunities for teachers and staff regarding division-supported technology tools and resources.
- Provide personalized support for instructional technology through modeling, coaching, and co-planning with educators.
- Create content aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning that use technology to provide relevant and engaging learning experiences for students.
- Support the student use of technology for learning and academic success.
- Create and maintain resources, such as how-tos, tutorials, and other support materials to support the use of technology in the classroom.
- Collaborate with district-level technology and instructional staff to support division initiatives and projects.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of technology resources to ensure they are up-to-date and functioning properly.
- Effectively communicate in a timely and professional manner with all members of the ACPS learning community.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in instructional technology and education.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology/ITRT Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a valid Virginia teaching license.
- Knowledge or experience working with online courses and curriculum.
- Ability to communicate and work with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
- Demonstrated capacity for team building and group leadership.
- Can perform basic computer troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Knowledge in computer networking systems, both hardware and software.
- Three years teaching experience required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, teachers, and school board.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAdds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio, and percent. Creates and interprets analytical graphs, charts, and diagrams.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS- Hold a valid Virginia teaching license
