Job description: In-Person Special Education Teacher

Location: Accomack County School District

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Ro Health is seeking dedicated and experienced Special Education Teachers to join our Virginia Behavioral Team for the  school year (and beyond). This position allows you to focus on meaningful, student-centered work, while enjoying the flexibility and professional growth that comes through working with a trusted staffing partner.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide specialized instruction to students with IEPs in inclusion, resource, or substantially separate settings
  • Design and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned to IEP goals
  • Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain accurate progress data
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support inclusive practices
  • Lead or contribute to IEP meetings, re-evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences
  • Implement behavior support strategies and classroom accommodations
  • Create a structured, supportive learning environment that promotes student independence and engagement

What You’ll Need
  • Valid Virginia License in Special Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Knowledge of IEP development and SPED compliance
  • Experience working with neurodiverse learners in school settings
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to pass background checks and provide professional references
