Our Lady of the Rosary is seeking a Full Time Coordinator of Youth Formation.

If so, we invite you to apply for the position of Coordinator of Youth Faith Formation at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Crozet, Virginia.

As the Coordinator of Youth Faith Formation, you will be at the heart of a dynamic and expanding Catholic community. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead and shape faith formation programs for children and teens from kindergarten through high school, including K-5, EDGE (Grades 6-8), and LIFE TEEN (Grades 9-12). You’ll be responsible for building and guiding teams of dedicated volunteers and ensuring the successful preparation of youth for the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the parish staff, as well as with parents, catechists, aides, and volunteers. You’ll also have the opportunity to help create a welcoming and spiritually enriching environment for young people as they grow in their faith.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop vibrant faith formation programs for all youth age groups, ensuring dynamic and engaging experiences that inspire spiritual growth.
• Recruit, train, and support teams of core volunteers for ministry and sacramental preparation.
• Foster strong communication with parents and volunteers to ensure smooth and effective programming.
• Serve as a role model for young people, living out the teachings of the Church in a way that is authentic and inspiring.
• Maintain proficiency with essential tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, and Flock Note for communication and administrative tasks.
• Represent the parish at local, regional, and diocesan meetings, gaining insights and connecting with the broader Church community.

This full-time position offers flexibility with scheduling, allowing you to balance your ministry with personal and family commitments. You will work closely with the pastor to establish a schedule that supports the parish’s needs while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications:

• A practicing Catholic in good standing, with a deep commitment to the teachings of the Church.
• Passion for working with youth and helping them develop a strong, personal relationship with Christ.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in office productivity applications.
• Experience in youth ministry, education, or related fields is preferred, but not required.
