Family Medicine Program Director SW Virginia KY Border

We are looking for a qualified Family Medicine Physician to lead our residency program as Program Director, shaping the next generation of Family Medicine physicians in the region.

• Accountabilities include:
• Administration and operations
• Teaching and scholarly activities
• Resident recruitment and evaluation
• Disciplinary actions
• Supervision and education of residents in patient care

• Specialty expertise with at least three years of educational or administrative experience
• Active clinical practice
• Experience in interdisciplinary team environments promoting high-quality care and resident well-being

• Model professionalism
• Accurately report required information
• Participate in academic societies and educational initiatives
• Contribute to curriculum development, resident evaluation, and faculty development
• Align program operations with community needs and institutional missions
• Foster a positive learning environment
• Implement candidate evaluation processes for faculty and residents
• Conduct faculty evaluations and address supervisory issues
• Ensure a supportive environment for residents to raise concerns
• Maintain compliance with institutional policies on grievances, due process, employment, and non-discrimination
• Dedicate at least 20 hours weekly to administrative and educational activities with institutional support
• Supervise and delegate responsibilities to faculty
