You will play a pivotal role in our news team and our plans to grow our affiliate content. By writing engaging and informative reviews and social content covering a variety of shopping areas—including home goods, tourism, beauty, tech, fashion, cleaning and more—you will find new and innovative ways to promote your content off‑platform around major affiliate opportunities such as Black Friday, concert launches, Amazon Prime Day and more.

You will research, write and publish high‑quality articles, first‑person video reviews, live blogs and buying guides that help readers save time and money, becoming a trusted authority for consumer tips. You will use our analytical tools (Trackonomics, Chartbeat, Google Trends) to identify opportunities, create and implement content plans to drive traffic, and meet daily revenue targets. This role involves working shifts on a rota basis, including some evenings and weekends, so a flexible approach is required.

You are an NCTJ‑qualified journalist or equivalent with UK media law knowledge and proven experience creating affiliate content in a newsroom or for social media. You ideally have an existing social following that relies on your recommendations, or you are keen to develop your own. You have an excellent knowledge of Yorkshire, allowing you to recommend tourism experiences and places to stay.

You have a keen eye for spotting trending viral products on platforms like Tik Tok, you can step in front and behind the camera, and you are a first‑class writer who can create accurate content at pace and meet deadlines. A deep understanding of affiliate content, a strong pitch book and a desire to grow your personal brand are essential.
