The OpportunityWe are recruiting an experienced Site Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of new build housing developments. This role requires strong organisational skills, leadership capability and a proven track record of managing new build housing schemes of up to 100 units
.
You will oversee subcontractors and direct labour, maintain programme, uphold quality standards and ensure safe, compliant construction throughout the build lifecycle.
Typical Sites & Scope of Works- Traditional or timber-frame construction
- Affordable, mixed-tenure and open-market homes
- Full delivery from groundworks to final handover
- Multiple work fronts running concurrently
- CML, PC and customer handover processes
- Manage day-to-day site operations and construction activities
- Lead, motivate and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour
- Maintain programme and ensure milestones are met
- Monitor quality at every stage and complete regular inspections
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, NHBC and building regulations
- Conduct daily and weekly site meetings
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries and progress reports
- Manage site presentation, logistics, deliveries and materials
- Coordinate with Technical, Commercial, Sales and Customer Care teams
- Support CML/PC inspections and customer handovers
- Oversee temporary works on site in accordance with procedures (TWS desirable)
- Conduct scaffold inspections where trained (scaffold inspection certificate ideal)
- Proven experience managing new build housing developments up to 100 units
- Strong understanding of build sequencing, logistics and quality control
- Excellent communication and people-management skills
- Competent IT skills (email, tablets, reporting tools)
- Temporary Works Supervisor certification – ideal
- Scaffold inspection experience/certification – ideal
- CSCS Black/White Card (essential)
- First Aid at Work (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Health & Safety training
- Temporary works training
- Scaffold inspection training
