Construction Utility Foreman

Location: Berryville

D.L. George and Sons Construction is seeking Construction Utility Foreman with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.

Utility Foreman Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervise, coordinate, and train a construction crew
• Oversee daily operations, including excavation, pipe laying, back filling, and site setup, often using heavy equipment
• Read blueprints, plan work sequences, order materials, manage daily reports, and track job costs
• Must be able to support and abide by the company Safety Programs. Safety is the top priority for yourself and your crew
• Communicate with project managers, owners, subcontractors and inspectors
• Interpret drawings, shoot grades and ensure proper installation of pipes & other infrastructure
• Address site issues and resolve conflicts
• Some travel may be required, generally held to a minimum

Utility Foreman Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have strong leadership and communication skills
• Working knowledge of utility systems (water, sewer, storm drains, etc)
• Coordination of work, manpower and materials, ensure manpower and equipment needs are scheduled and met
• Problem solving in a priority regiment
• Be willing to submit to background checks for access and clearances for specific projects
• Submit to, as requested, for a drug test prior to employment and random thereafter
• Familiarity with safety regulations and local codes
• Ability to read construction drawings
• Must be a team player
