Transportation Construction Inspector

Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc. (AMT, Inc.) is hiring Construction Inspectors in the Transportation sector to support projects throughout the VDOT Fredericksburg District and surrounding areas of Northern Neck and Saluda Residencies.

Interested applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, be available for night work, OT and/or weekends as needed, capable of working independently and within a team, and subject to background check. Applicants preferred to have experience with paving, roadway and bridge construction inspection and records keeping.

Responsibilities

• Verification of all work performed being in accordance with plans & contractual specs
• Measurement & verification of quantities, dimensions & specifications
• Act as a liaison between VDOT and prime contractor

Qualifications

• 3+ years of transportation construction experience, ideally within the State of Virginia
• Required certifications preferred but class enrollment for certifications will be made for candidates with applicable construction inspection experience
