The Relationship Banker provides an industry‑leading client service experience in person and on the phone, developing and expanding both new and existing client relationships. The role also performs teller duties as needed and is cross‑trained to support branch operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Exercise advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution, and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience, and other product and service lines.
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services focused on building, expanding, and retaining relationships.
  • Support team sales by conducting consultative conversations and referring complex client needs or financial goals to internal specialists.
  • Participate fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through meetings, training, and web‑based learning.
  • Advise on consumer lending options and manage loan applications.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of policy changes for compliance.
  • Ensure a consistent client service experience by greeting clients, conducting transactions, and discovering client needs; may include handling teller transactions.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • At least 2 years of client sales and service experience.
  • Experience with sourcing, prospecting, and building client relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office).
  • Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS registration and background checks.
  • Strong multitasking ability under time constraints.
  • Willingness to travel as required for temporary staffing needs.
  • Availability to work weekends, extended hours, occasional travel, and overnight shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or higher.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional service orientation.
  • Experience selling deposit, credit, and retirement products to consumer and small business clients.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
