Description

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond is seeking an Administrative Associate for the Office of Christian Formation who will support the Director of Christian Formation.

The Administrative Assistant (AA) supports the Director of Christian Formation. In addition, the AA supports Associate Directors for Initiation Ministry, Adult Faith Formation, Learn Portal, Sacraments, Lay Ecclesial Ministry Institute, and Lay Leadership Development, in the fulfillment of the OCF mission by providing event coordination/management, excellent customer service and communication, coordination of logistical, administrative, and financial aspects of OCF programs and budgets.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills including:
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, and Outlook)
    • Web Design skills (Word Press)
    • Diocesan systems training will be provided (UKG, Online evaluation tool Lime Service, Parish Soft)
    • Constant Contact, Slack, Reg Fox, Canva
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in an office setting and at event
  • Good "people skills" are required
  • A working knowledge of Catholic Church teaching and structure is required
  • High school diploma required
  • College degree desirable
  • 3 years office experience required
  • Paid or voluntary Christian Formation experience recommended
Working Conditions:

The Administrative Assistant for the Office of Christian Formation is a full-time position working five days a week with typical office hours between 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, or as needed based on diocesan meetings and parish needs. Some travel is required, and some weekend hours should be anticipated.

An unpaid one-hour lunch period may be taken between 12:00 to 2:00 pm daily.
