Tax Professional - Franchise

Overview

As a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional at H&R Block, you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs and help them make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money.

• Build and maintain client relationships that strengthen each year.
• Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and through virtual tools—video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support, including tax notice services and audit representation.
• Mentor and support teammates.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfort working with virtual tools—video, phone, chat.
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone, and in writing.
• Must meet all IRS and applicable state requirements, including continuing education.
• High school diploma/equivalent or higher.
