Pump Station Skilled Laborer

Job Summary:

Perform tasks involving physical labor at heavy construction projects. Construct, fabricate, assemble and disassemble concrete form work of fixtures of metal, wood and other accessories.

Essential Duties:

* Follow Daily Procedures and regulations as set forth in job orientations and trainings and Safety Handbooks. Follow all OSHA guidelines. Bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent or Safety Facilitator.

* Building structures required to the specifications of the job. Platforms, stairs, concrete forms, framework, temporary frame shelters, etc.

* Examine drawings, sketches, building plans and form drawings to determine material required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated.

* Use form carpentry hand tools such as levels, squares, plumb bobs, hammers, hand and power saws, adjustable wrenches, drill motors, reciprocating saws, pry bars, etc. Supply of non-electric/pneumatic hand tools is required.

* Prepare layout of form or fixture to be fabricated using grades and layout lines. Construct forms, chutes and align form panels for pouring concrete and grout.

* Install temporary handrails, stairs and ladders. Erect and dismantle scaffolding.

* Ability to tie rebar.

* Coordinate with the Project Superintendent the needs of the project, which include equipment and personnel.

* Responsible for safe working condition and compliance with all safety plans. These will include but are not limited to OSHA, EM-385, site specific plans, and Miss Utilities.

Qualifications:

* 5+ years' experience preferred

* Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy construction work.
• Knowledge in mathematics is required.

* Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral directions.

* Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.

* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

Pay: $19.13 - $23.03 per hour
