large manufacturing company in virginia beach va is looking for maintenance electricians. Looking for someone who is open to working in a non-climate controlled environment. Must have mechanical and electrical repair experience on manufacturing equipment.

1st shift mon-fri 8am-430pm
3rd shift mon-thur 430pm-330am

pays: $28-$37 hourly

job summary: we are seeking a skilled electrician to join our manufacturing team. The electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and code-compliant operations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow schematics, blueprints, and project specifications.

• install new or modified electrical systems in compliance with local, state, and national codes.

• plan electrical installations to minimize material waste, ensure future maintenance accessibility, and maintain safe, reliable, and professional wiring layouts.

• interpret and follow diagrams, blueprints, and project specifications accurately.

• apply journeyman-level electrician skills for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and related equipment.

• apply mechanical knowledge as needed to diagnose and repair equipment, including air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.

• maintain work schedules, attendance, and duty requirements as established.

• perform work tasks as specified in project drawings, customer specifications, or project requirements.

• manage cleanliness and organization of the electrical shop and facility work areas.

• travel to job sites as required to support electrical projects.

• maintain safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.

• complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.

• adhere to all safety procedures, including osha regulations, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and confined space policies.

• attend required educational and training sessions to maintain and improve technical skills.

• journeyman-level electrician experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• knowledge of electrical systems, installation techniques, and repair practices.

• ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

• strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety.

• mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting related equipment.

• ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

• full-time, 40-hour work week with potential overtime.

• primarily manufacturing environment with occasional travel to job sites.
